Despite the rain the party in the hills was a success. Quite a few people cancelled and the softball game was called off but those that turned up really enjoyed themselves. Charles is from New Zealand too so he’d organised a hungi (Maori way of cooking food underground). He and Jason dug the hole while Mike and I collected wet firewood. It was quite a task getting that fire going, but Mike and Jason did an excellent job and many hours later, well after dark and the DJ had arrived we all enjoyed the fruits of their labour.
