Quite an uneventful day really. Just pacing along the varying route 25. Sometimes it seems like it’s an on-ramp for the busy I.C. motorway but at other times it’s a pleasant country road in small villages. There were a few raindrops early on but it didn’t bother me until I reached Ueno. I had planned to sleep in a park again but in this weather I’d be soaked. Does anyone know the Japanese for “silicon-gel seam sealer”?
I’ve taken a room at some little motel on the outskirts of town and eaten as much as humanly possible. There are still 4 ice-cream bars in the freezer but I don’t have to check out until 10am :)
Word of the day: kasa = umbrella
Distance today: 34km
